Treatment Committee

Welcome to the District 26 Treatment Committee Page. As a liaison between treatment, health care professionals, and AA, the committee's focus is on helping alcoholics in a treatment setting, in collaboration with AA members and groups.

For official information about Treatment Committees, visit the aa.org Treatment Committees page.

Information for Professionals

The committee offers services and resources to local healthcare and treatment professionals to aid in their work with alcoholics, such as providing AA-specific information and assistance to adminstrators and staff, and coordinating AA outreach into treatment facilities. Resources include print and digital materials, some of which have been assembled in a web app for easy reference (click here).

Information for A.A. Members

AA members and groups are needed to take commitments into treatment facilities. If you are interested in a one-time or recurring commitment, email Treatment@aaDistrict26.org or use the online calendars (discussed below). For "Bridging the Gap" volunteer work, see the pamphlet Bridging the Gap Volunteering Guide.

Note that the TaraVista Behavorial Health Center requires a "CORI" background check be conducted. For the required CORI consent form: click here.
